Q: What is the .Mac Affiliate Program?

A: The .Mac Affiliate Program is a program that rewards you for introducing .Mac, Apple's suite of Internet services, to your customers. By placing banner ads and text links (provided by Apple) on your website, in your software applications, in newsletters, and in email blasts, you can earn US$15 for every new paid .Mac subscription that you generate.


Q How do I sign up?

A: Applying to the .Mac Affiliate Program is easy. Sign up here. Once you complete the .Mac affiliate registration form, you will receive an email from LinkShare confirming your participation as an affiliate in the LinkShare Network. The email will also contain your username. Within five business days, you will receive an email from .Mac about the status of your .Mac Affiliate Program application. LinkShare is the leading Internet provider of innovative technology that helps affiliates sell more products and earn more commissions. LinkShare provides the technological interface that enables .Mac affiliates to access .Mac links, track performance, and get paid.


Q What does it cost to join?

A: Nothing. It's free to become a .Mac affiliate.


Q Is my website eligible for the .Mac Affiliate Program?

A: Anyone can fill out an application, and we will accept a wide variety of websites into our program. However, we reserve the right to refuse any site that does not comply with the Terms and Conditions of the program.


Q I am a .Mac member and would like to join the affiliate program and put .Mac banners on my .Mac website. Can I do this?

A: Unfortunately, we cannot accept affiliates who want to place banners on their .Mac websites. Because .Mac is designed for personal use and is not intended to host third party advertisements and banners, we will not be able to accept these sites into the .Mac Affiliate Program. Q I am a software developer and I would like to build .Mac into my application. Where can I find out more information?

A: As a developer, you can build .Mac into your software application and earn a commission for every new paid .Mac membership that you generate. For more information, check out the page we've created for .Mac Developers.


Q I live outside the U.S. Can I join the .Mac Affiliate Program?

A: Yes, we will accept affiliates from around the world into the .Mac Affiliate Program. However, all .Mac affiliates will be paid in U.S. dollars.


Q If I have more than one website, can I place links on all of them?

A: Absolutely. Just log in to your affiliate account, copy the coded .Mac links, and place them wherever you do business.


Q How do I create .Mac links?

A: Once accepted to the .Mac Affiliate Program, follow these simple steps.

1. Go to www.linkshare.com
2. Click Client Login in the top right corner.
3. Enter your username and password and be sure to complete the image challenge.
4. Click Create Links on the right side of the page.
5. Select .Mac (Apple Inc.).
6. Choose from the various available link types including text links and banner ads to place on your website, in your software applications, or in newsletters and email.
7. Copy and paste the link code carefully into the code of your web pages, newsletters, and email.


Q How do I track how much money I've earned?

A: To access information on sales, commissions, visitors, and impressions, log into your affiliate account on www.linkshare.com. Click Run Reports, and select the parameters you would like to search.


Q When do I get paid?

A: If you earn more than US$20 in a given month, you will receive a check about 45 days after the end of that month. If your earnings total less than US$20, you will receive a check 45 days after the end of the month in which your total earnings reach US$20.
